Danita Gallegos, LCSW-S

(she/her/hers) Danita is the Owner and Clinical Supervisor to the team. She provides supervision to groups and consultation as needed. Danita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor who loves providing therapy and support to clients. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and families. She specializes in working with children, teens and young adults. Danita has a plethora of clinical experience that allows her to provide a setting for non-judgment and acceptance while working with clients to explore solutions that will fit their needs. She is trained in various psychotherapy styles to support clients in finding peace and calmness in their daily lives.

Sara Aguirre, LCSW

Your body is tired, but your soul is still fighting.”

(she/her/hers) Sara’s style includes strengths based, goal focused and whole person approach. Her goals are your goals. She believes you are the boss of this relationship. Together you can both identify your concerns, process all of “the things” and determine your goals for each session and beyond.

She has gained expertise from experiences through various healthcare settings, support group facilitation/management, and educating communities on mood disorders. She is passionate about young adults and life’s major transitions. This can include navigating new relationships (personal, professional, becoming a parent) or major healthcare changes (new diagnosis, chronic conditions.) She is a native Houstonian. She gained a Bachelor’s Degree of Social Work from Texas State University- San Marcos, and a Master’s degree from University of Houston School of Social Work. She has a clinical interest in adolescents, young adults, and women.

She loves lychee green tea! She stays busy with her children watching them show off their baseball and gymnastics skills. Her guilty pleasures are binge-watching comedy shows and listening to podcasts.

Miguel Carrillo, LMSW

(he/him/his) Miguel is a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in both, English and Spanish. Overall, he has been in the field of mental health for more than 6 years now working with diverse populations. He is an open and transparent individual who values the therapeutic relationship.

Miguel graduated from Widener University with a Master’s in Social Work. In this program, he also became Trauma-Informed Care certified. Miguel is sensitive and understanding to moving at the client’s pace. Miguel has experience working with the LGBTQ+ population by providing individual therapy, intakes, and crisis stabilization sessions. He is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ population and has relevant experience working with the unique challenges and concerns that may arise within this population.

Miguel has facilitated various support groups that focus on a range of topics addressing the needs of our most vulnerable populations. Miguel identifies and empathizes with the unique barriers faced by BIPOC communities and advocates for progression. Miguel strives to stay resourceful and works diligently with clients to help them reach their wellness goals.

Miguel uses various modalities when working with clients such as, trauma sensitive mindfulness, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT). He implements the use of various coping and grounding techniques to guide clients with regulating their emotions. Miguel focuses on the client and the strengths they bring in order to guide the client to reach their full potential.

Romy Nunes, LCSW

(she/her/hers) Romy is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Baylor University with a concentration in Immigration Policy. She helps clients work through their uncomfortable situations and life challenges to achieve their personal goals and growth. Her approach is to work alongside you to help you through complex trauma, depression, anxiety, negative thoughts, or other life hardships that are impacting you. Romy has experience with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and PTSD. She incorporates various therapeutic modalities to support diverse clients such as DBT skills, mindfulness, CBT, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. Romy enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and women. She believes that no matter what challenge you are faced with, you are able to embrace growth, heal, and have a better life.

Ashley Smalls, LMSW

(she/her/hers) Ashley is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse populations. She is passionate about helping people navigate through life. She believes the bravest thing a person can do is to take the steps to understand themselves and their journey in life. Ashley enjoys connecting with people to provide them with a space free of judgment and to allow one to be their authentic self. Everyone deserves to create a life of happiness and peace. Therapy can assist in broadening your toolbox of skills, which enriches your life experiences. We all face challenges in life and sometimes need guidance along the way. We can develop coping skills and techniques to help you on your journey. Ashley has experience with anxiety, stress, grief and loss, sexual abuse, family conflict, peer relationships, school issues, self-esteem and parenting. Ashley incorporates various therapeutic modalities when working with clients which include Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution- Focused Brief Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy and DBT Skills.

Tayler Trujillo, LCSW

(she/her/hers) Tayler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Denver, CO. She is a first generation college graduate and Latina who is passionate about helping people from diverse backgrounds that struggle to navigate life on their own. She has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families.

Tayler’s areas of interest include working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, career counseling, coping skills, domestic abuse, grief, life coaching, life transitioning, peer relationships, racial identity, gender identity, self-esteem, and spirituality.

Tayler supports individuals from all walks of life and welcomes people to step into their true selves. She utilizes several therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, strength-based therapy, and play therapy.

She is here to support you as you navigate your life without judgment. She encourages her clients to come as they are and allow time to take care of themselves. Her hopes for her clients are to live to their full potential and know that it’s okay to not be okay.

Rachel Flinn, LCSW

(she/her/hers) Rachel Flinn is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW #57425 Texas). She received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from The University of Texas at Austin and is a proud UT alumna (Hook ‘em Horns!). Rachel went on to earn her Master of Social Work in 2012 from The University of Houston and has been practicing social work since 2013. She has experience working with clients from across the age spectrum; from age 11 to age 78! Rachel is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders Using Prolonged Exposure (COPE).

According to research, one of the most important predictors of successful treatment is the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist; which is why Rachel aims to meet clients where they’re at by holding the space needed to explore and process the hard things. She also frequently incorporates memes and humor into the therapeutic relationship with her clients.  You will frequently hear her saying, “sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying!”

Rachel specializes in the treatment of trauma, especially in first responders, veterans, and older adults. Rachel is also a trained yoga teacher and often incorporates mindfulness, breathing techniques, gratitude, and grounding practices into her client’s treatment. 

Rachel is passionate about reducing the stigma associated with mental health treatment. She is very transparent about being recently diagnosed with ADHD and is a strong advocate for the neurodivergent community. Outside of clinical practice, you can find Rachel at her Crossfit gym or spending time with her husband and children.

Alyssa Suarez, LMSW

Alyssa is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Therapist. She studied Behavioral Sciences in undergrad where she fell in love with learning about why people behave the way they do. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at The University of Houston. Alyssa has experience with acute mental healthcare, and works with patients to address a critical moment of their mental health in inpatient psychiatric care. Alyssa understands that it’s not the happy moments in life that bring people to therapy, but she firmly believes that true strength comes from rebuilding.

Alyssa is a social worker to her core, and integrates social work values into her therapeutic interventions with clients. Alyssa prefers an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing tried and true methodologies like CBT and DBT techniques, but she also loves integrating experiential therapy like art, somatic exercise, and anything that emphasizes the mind and body connection. Alyssa loves working with adolescents, families, and especially moms. Alyssa’s favorite way to spend an afternoon is chasing her kiddo around to the tune of the Paw Patrol soundtrack.

Ashley Calvillo, LCSW

Ashley has been a licensed social worker for the past eleven years. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas San Antonio. Ashley has worked with a wide range of client populations including geriatric, end of life, children, young adults, and foster families. 

Ashley is experienced with trauma, grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, and life changes. She uses an eclectic style of therapy using CBT, ACT, mindfulness and elements of various therapies. She provides non-judgmental and empathetic therapy.  She prefers taking a team approach with clients to assist them to achieve their goals, reduce stress, and feel their best.
